That blue hedgehog sure doesn’t like to leave the spotlight. After the release of Sonic Mania (to critical acclaim) SEGA has announced that the upcoming 3D platformer/Deviant Art themed Pandora’s Box Sonic Forces will be releasing in North America on November, 7th and Japan on the 9th. Along with the release date SEGA has unveiled the Bonus Edition of Sonic Forces that includes outfits styled after other franchises in the SEGA-Atlus lineup, as well as a skin for your controller. The outfit themes include Jet Set Radio, Puyo Puyo, Super Monkey Ball, Nights, and even *shudders* a Persona 5 themed outfit. The bonus edition of Sonic Forces will be priced at $39.99USD.

if you’ve remained ignorant to the chaos that SEGA is planning to release come November than let me warn you of the cataclysmic event:

Sonic Forces is a 3D platformer from the good ol’ folks at Sonic Team. The game features everything you know and love about the 3D Sonic formula including hallmarks from the Sonic Adventure series like homing dash, and themes too edgy for a kids game!

Much like Sonic: Generations, Forces will allow you to switch between the cute and 2D classic sonic, as well as the modern 3D gameplay. What distances itself from recent Sonic blunders is the 3rd gameplay style that allows the player to create their own Avatar and fight alongside Sonic on his quest to stop Eggman from doing something that nobody quite cares about.

Though the man with the gut and the ‘stache isn’t the only baddie you need to pretend to worry about. Villains from previous Sonic games are joining the fray as well! This includes Shadow the Hedgehog, Metal Sonic, Chaos, and even *squints* Zavok?

I don’t think the world is ready for this. But at this point there is no stopping SEGA. We can only prepare for the event come November. Brace yourselves.

Sonic Forces is set to release for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch November 7th
